Pampering

Pampering is a critical component of pain management massage because the path to pain relief is through peace.

Pain Management Massage

Pain management massage is a rich sensory experience that uplifts your spirit while delighting your mind, body, and soul.

It encourages you to feel safe, have hope, and sample the peace and ease of serenity. It creates a space for you to exist in the moment, to explore each exquisite sensation, and feel wonderful.

Pain Management massage helps you feel so fantastic because it pampers you every second of your session.

Pampering

Pampering is a critical component of pain management massage because the path to pain relief is through peace.

While many massage therapists attempt to discredit the importance of pampering by describing it as foo-foo, or worse, a waste of time, pain management embraces the pleasure and comfort it bestows.

When you are pampered during a session, it helps improve your mind-body connection, enhances the benefits of passive neurotag retraining, and feels good.

  • Improves Mind-Body Connection: Safety, hope, and pleasure encourage you to sample the peace and ease of serenity. They create a space for you to exist in the moment, to explore each exquisite sensation, and feel wonderful.
  • Enhances Passive Neurotag Retraining: The use of sugar scrub, hot stones, heated spa boots, and being painted with creams and oils with soft brushes draws your attention to the sensations you are experiencing. Your focused awareness pulls you into the moment, helping you retrain your brain’s neuropathways in real time.
  • It Feels Good: What are the primary goals of a massage? Maybe I am wrong, but I believe it is to feel good and experience pain relief. Fortunately, being pampered feels wonderful, and it can help with pain, so why not include it?

How Will You Be Pampered?

Pain management massage uses the highest quality body oils, moisturizers, exfoliants, lotions, creams, and butters. Every aspect of your massage has been curated to ensure each second of your session is exquisite.

The sheets are silky smooth, and the vibroacoustic massage table is soft, supportive, and heated to perfection.

When prone, a sling is provided under the face cradle to enhance arm and shoulder comfort, and bolsters are used to ensure your back and legs feel comfy. If you need to be elevated when supine, a supportive wedge may be placed under your back. If your neck hurts or could benefit from some muscle traction, an Omni cervical pillow can be placed under your head.

Additionally, you may enjoy heated spa boots on your feet or warm mittens on your hands. The session may include sugar scrub, red light therapy, or even a leg air compression treatment.

If this wasn’t enough, I use a towel to massage every area that has been massaged, ensuring excess oil is removed before your session is complete.

I want you to experience the best massage of your life every time you come in for a pain management massage. I want you to feel so amazing that, when you leave, you are inspired by the delightfulness of life, are full of hope, and know you are capable of overcoming any challenge.

Neurotags

DIMS and SIMs

Neurotags are what the brain uses to determine whether it is safe or in danger. At the core of self-improvement and pain management are neurotags. Neurotags are a concept that represents several neurological mechanisms working together to assess danger and safety.

Due to neuroplasticity, neurotags are mutable and can change over time. Neuroplasticity is how our brain learns new skills and loses what it doesn’t use. Like muscles, our neurons can adapt, become stronger or weaker, and sometimes even change in size and shape.

There are two types of neurotag, DIMs and SIMs.

  • DIM: Danger in me, a negative neurotag.
  • SIM: Safety in me, a positive neurotag.
The goal of Pain Management Massage is to create and strengthen positive neurotags so that the brain’s neural network turns down the volume of pain.
